The MPRE is “easy.”
Until you fail it.
Everyone says the MPRE is simple. But failing delays your bar admission by months. Cruxly takes a photo of your ethics materials and generates professional responsibility questions in 60 seconds. Don't risk it.

Sound familiar?
Real frustrations from law students who almost failed.
“I studied for 3 days, thought I crushed it, and scored 72. Passing is 85 in my state. Now I have to retake it during bar prep.”
— 3L, learned the hard way
“The Model Rules are dry as toast. I can't stay focused long enough to make flashcards.”
— 2L, taking MPRE early
“I keep mixing up the Model Rules with the Model Code with my state's rules. They're all slightly different.”
— Bar candidate, second MPRE attempt
“My friends said 'just watch the Themis videos.' I did. I retained nothing. Should've used active recall.”
— Recent grad, barely passed

Questions about MPRE prep
How long should I study for the MPRE?
Most people pass with 1-2 weeks of focused study. But 'focused' is key—passive video watching doesn't cut it. Cruxly helps you use active recall, which research shows is far more effective than re-reading. Recommended approach: Week 1 - Watch lectures, photo key outlines, generate questions. Week 2 - Daily quizzing with spaced repetition, practice tests.
Does it cover the Model Rules AND state variations?
The MPRE tests the Model Rules, Model Code of Judicial Conduct, and 'generally accepted principles.' Cruxly generates questions from whatever you photo. If your state has specific variations you need to know, photo those materials too.
Is active recall overkill for the MPRE?
The MPRE has an ~85% pass rate nationally. But failing delays bar admission by months. You have to pay to retake it. You have to study for it AGAIN during bar prep. Is spending 20 minutes making flashcards 'overkill'? Or is it insurance against a massive headache?
Can I use Cruxly for both MPRE and bar prep?
Absolutely. Your subscription works for any materials you photo. Many students use Cruxly for MPRE first, then continue using it for bar prep outlines. Same tool, different exams.
What if I'm taking the MPRE in 3 days?
You can still use Cruxly. Photo the condensed outline, generate questions, and drill. 20 minutes of active recall beats 3 hours of passive re-reading. It's not ideal timing, but it's better than nothing.
